I'm thinking the Riker and Rumer dances might be the best back to back performances ever on the show.

For the first time, I got a real kick out of Mark's costume. It was hilarious when he nibbled on a carrot and almost choked on it. The costume department did a standout job on everyone last night.
But yes, Rumer looked incredible and performed as great as she looked.

For sure Riker and Rumer owned the night and for me Riker had the edge. I liked that hint of wild and uncontrolled they brought to the performance. After all pirates ARE wild and uncontrolled.
Disappointed for Robert and Kym but I was entertained anyway. They were underscored but I think the Sharkeroo fans voted in droves so I believe they are more than just safe for next week.
I won't miss Suzanne but I will miss Tony.
After the edit Chris got in his package I suspect he is gone next week. I have thought from the start that Witney isn't the right partner for him. Sharna or Peta would have been better suited. His little meltdown doesn't bother me although many on the ABC board are having their own meltdown over it. It happens every season and some celeb or another finds the stress too much.I well remember Cheryl telling a stressing Jack Osbourne to chill out, it's just a little dance show. Aw, but that was the voice of a seasoned veteran pro and Witney is still too new to cope easily in those situations.
Mark - love the guy but I think he needs a bigger creative outlet for his wildly innovative and imaginative talents than DWTS provides.
Nastia and Derek turned in a nice little dance without much wow punch to it.
Patti seems a great person but she is not a dancer and will most likely go right after Chris. She doesn't have the kind of charisma fellow senior citizen Tommy Chong has which carried him to his high finish.
Noah and Sharna are a match made in heaven. Sharna does everything right. Noah will never be a master of the dance because of his disabilities but by gosh, he is learning to dance and doing so without the aid of various pieces of furniture. I admire him. Loved it when Sharna said, "Suck it up, Princess" when Noah was having a little pity party.

Agree with a lot of this. It's hard to imagine that most DWTS couples get through the entire three months without having any bad moments between them, so when the show chooses to put one couple clashing on the airwaves, it can be a little suspicious as to why tptb selected that couple for the bad edit. Possibly to winnow the field in a way that puts the show in position for a final that features the best dancers, big freestyles, better ratings. Chris would fit into that bad edit scenario since he's not one of the better dancers.
Bing just came out with its prediction for next week's elimination. A word of caution--they've already been wrong a week but they're predicting Patti will be eliminated and listing Chris as "in danger".
But either way, it looks like Robert and Kym may have survived their off week. I really like them so I hope they are safe.
