Bing has already missed twice this season. They've had some misses in the previous two seasons, but there were plausible reasons, as follows:
Last season missing the biggie, the final--Will Smith's Facebook, 75 million followers, big voting bang for not a lot of buzz (Will mentioned Alfonso's name only twice) could easily account for the miss.
Missing the Betsy elimination--the show threw the Bing model a curve by making two eliminations a week apart off the same voting data. There's no way Bing could have anticipated the show would do a delayed elimination.
Previous season--missed the Charlie White elimination. It's possible the Bing model was unable to accurately separate Meryl buzz from Charlie buzz, since they're partners and their names are often mentioned together.
Okay, so those were plausible.
But I can't think of a single plausible reason for the Suzanne miss and this past week's Chris-miss. Even their "in danger" call, Robert, was safe.
So I'm thinking Bing's not as reliable as it was. I wonder if they freaked out when they missed calling the final last season and made some adjustments to their model that aren't working out as well.
It's probably not worthless, just not as reliable as it was the first two seasons.
btw, so far they're sticking with Chris to be eliminated and Robert in danger. In the world of double-eliminations, that's a Chris and Robert are both eliminated prediction.
