Well it was Freestyle night! Who do you feel did the best tonight?

I give it to Rumer by a landslide with Noah a distant second and I simply cannot bring myself to rank Riker as I do not believe he should have been on the show in the first place. If there is any justice, Rumer will win tomorrow night. If not, I am done with the show once and for all.

And I do wish people would stop calling Noah a 'War hero'. He is a survivor of war. He was not injured during any heroic act, he was not saving his fellow soldiers by defusing a bomb or fighting off a hoard of enemy soldiers. He was simply a casualty of an unjust war like many others.

Firedrake, I agree with what you say regarding casualties of war. Noah wanted to become a career soldier and the risks come with the job. I certainly do not begrudge him any perks that come from DWTS, hope he gets more modeling jobs, he does have a family to raise and opportunities for him must be very limited in the employment field. Not sure what kind of pension that the Armed Forces give these men, probably not enough.

I have never been more blah about a season of DWTS, so I did not really jump up and down about any of it tonight. I think part of it is Noah and how the judges fawn and mark the man for absolutely no dancing, how the producers manipulate people, find it all tiring and a turn off. I think I was so enthralled by Maks and Meryl, that the seasons after seem dull. Maybe I am one of the old fogies that enjoys dancing and these production numbers spoil the ballroom aspect of the show, or maybe too many seasons of watching.

For the first time since the show has been on the air, I did not watch the entire final show and only tuned in to watch the ending to see who won. I was very disappointed with this season and I do not believe that I watched so much as one show in it's entirety. I hope that next season picks up or my viewing will drop to even less. In the meantime, I am really enjoying Game of Thrones as well as Penny Dreadful and am eagerly anticipating the new series of True Detective which should be starting soon on HBO.
