I noticed that someone on the official board is once again complaining about how 'raunchy' DWTS has become. Well I figured I would show some examples of how Argentina puts on a similar show.
And yes, this is a regular prime time, 'family' hours television show, not a cable only broadcast.

This would be enough to give many of the entrenched board old timers apoplexy! Several of the long time posters seem to feel that they manage and steer the board the way they want it and woe betide any dissenting opinions. I have several I simply never respond to. I am Lesallee on that board as kaylinn probably surmised long ago and when I first began posting a couple of the Derek fanatics came after me so hard it scared me. I had committed the cardinal sin of starting a thread in praise of Val. I almost quit the board altogether but my stubborn side won out and I figured my thoughts and opinions are just as valid as yours!

Wow!!!! Don't know what to say to that one. I would rather see a Viennese Waltz with him in a tux and her in a gown, dancing to music by Andre Rieu.

It does tend to be over done a bit for that show, but she really is quite a dancer. The huge difference is that in Latin countries, the human body is appreciated and celebrated for it's beauty and sensuality, not hidden away like something to be afraid or ashamed of. They do not suffer from the shame that seems to have been bred into the American culture from having a history that comes down from the Puritans and Quakers.
I was once banned from a guitar board for arguing about their policy that banned pictures of girls in bikinis in the Lounge section but allowed hunters to post shots of their dead prey and their extensive weapon collections. The reason was that girls in bikinis were not appropriate for the underage members of the board but that there was nothing wrong with threads about guns. I decided not to go back there after that.
